Last Friday, the Ireland 6s training squad assembled again at their fantastic new training facility at Dublin Indoor Football Centre.

With upcoming friendlies at the forefront of their thoughts, the training squad were taken through the finer tactical points of 6 a side football by manager Mark O Sullivan and head coach Robert Mulligan.

The response from the players was excellent with all present commenting on the professionalism and quality shown by all involved. O’Sullivan explained the importance of the weekly sessions: "With upcoming competitive matches, it was vital to give the players the fundamental roles and responsibilities in any given formation as well as maintaining the professional conduct and standard at all times. It is tough to do this while providing top quality 6 a side football, but the players responded very well to this, and should all be commended on the commitment they have shown so far to the training squad."

This coming Friday, the commitment and preparation of the training squad will hopefully shine through for all to see with two competitive games arranged at the Dublin Indoor Football Centre. Both games with be 40 minutes long, with the first game kicking off at 8.30pm. Members of the public and any interested parties are welcome to attend and watch the game from the viewing gallery.
